Deposit Accounts

Deposit accounts connect an individual or corporate customer to an approved deposit product. Use account opening to record the customer's instructions, account authorization to approve the record, and teller transactions or scheduled processing to move funds.

The three customer-account menus are Rekening Tabungan for savings, Rekening Tabungan Berjangka for installment-based term savings, and Rekening Simpanan Berjangka for term deposits. Rekening Antara Bank (RAB) manages internal bank accounts separately.

Before You Begin#

Confirm the customer CIF, approved product, responsible Kantor and Kantor Kas, and supporting documents. The product determines available terms; the account adds customer-specific choices. Your user must have access to the account function and its actions. Authorization lists are separate from the normal account lists.

Review account identity and status before every servicing request. Account status, an outstanding authorization request, and available funds are different controls. A request being saved does not mean it has been approved or paid.

Open a Savings Account#

The office and cash-office fields use the current context. Select the customer and product before completing the account-specific instructions.

  1. Open Simpanan → Rekening Tabungan and select Tambah Rekening.
  2. Confirm Kantor and Kantor Kas. These read-only fields use your current office context; change context before opening the account if it is wrong.
  3. Select Jenis CIF, then locate the customer in CIF. Check the customer name and identifier before continuing.
  4. Select Produk Tabungan using the approved opening instructions.
  5. Complete Join Akun. If the account has another holder and the form requires it, select Join CIF.
  6. Under INFORMASI LAINNYA, complete Split Bunga, the required Split No Rekening, Pengiriman Surat, and Remarks as applicable. Review the completed record, select Tambah, and confirm the submission.
  7. Have an authorized reviewer process the record in Otorisasi Rekening Tabungan.
  8. After acceptance, locate the account in Rekening Tabungan and check its number, customer, product, office, and status. Use the appropriate teller transaction for funding.

Opening an account and recording its opening deposit are distinct actions. Do not repeat account creation because a newly opened account has no funded balance.

Open a Term-Savings Account#

  1. Open Simpanan → Rekening Tabungan Berjangka → Tambah Rekening.
  2. Confirm the read-only office and cash-office context, then select the customer type, CIF, and Produk Tabungan.
  3. Enter Jangka Waktu, Tanggal Setoran, and Nilai Setoran. Check the displayed Tanggal Jatuh Tempo against the intended plan and the product's contribution limits.
  4. Complete Split Bunga and Split No Rekening where applicable, then Join Akun, Join CIF, Pengiriman Surat, and Remarks as required by the form.
  5. Select Tambah, confirm the submission, and arrange review through Otorisasi Rekening Tabungan Berjangka.
  6. Verify the accepted plan and arrange its funding using the bank's released transaction workflow.

Check each scheduled contribution against actual account activity. If a contribution is missing, confirm whether a collection is pending before arranging payment through the bank's approved process; avoid recording the same contribution twice.

Open a Term-Deposit Account#

Use Tambah Rekening Simpanan Berjangka for a term deposit. The product selector on this screen is labelled Produk Tabungan; the menu and page title identify the account family.

  1. Open Simpanan → Rekening Simpanan Berjangka → Tambah Rekening.
  2. Confirm the read-only Kantor and Kantor Kas, then select Jenis CIF and CIF.
  3. Select the deposit product in Produk Tabungan, which is the label used on this form. Check the read-only Jangka Waktu populated from the product.
  4. Enter Nominal Penempatan. Review Tipe Rollover and Perubahan Bunga Rollover. Use the customer's agreed maturity instruction rather than assuming all deposits renew automatically. For NARO, select the option that keeps the rate unchanged; rollover rate changes do not apply to a non-renewing deposit.
  5. In Tipe Bunga, choose Sesuai konfigurasi Produk or Fixed / Rate Special. For a special rate, enter the approved Bunga. Recheck the choices if you change products; choosing a new product resets relevant rate choices.
  6. Complete any joint-account and interest-splitting instructions, including the receiving account where required.
  7. Set Tujuan Penarikan. For an internal destination, select Nomor Rekening Penarikan. For an external-bank destination, complete Bank Tujuan, Nomor Rekening Tujuan, and Nama Pemilik Rekening.
  8. Complete Pengiriman Surat and Remarks, review the record, and select Tambah. Confirm the submission.
  9. Arrange review in Otorisasi Rekening Simpanan Berjangka. After acceptance and funding, verify the account's status, placement amount, due date, rate, rollover choice, and destination.

Use Simulasi Simpanan Berjangka to discuss expected interest before opening. The simulation does not create or fund this account.

Authorize Account Opening or an Amendment#

For a savings-account amendment, open the row's Lihat Detail action and change only the editable information covered by the customer's instruction. Review the linked interest account, correspondence choices, and remarks as applicable. Select Edit to save the proposed changes, then complete the account authorization flow below. The Edit button submits the editable information; it is not required merely to view the detail page or its document tab.

  1. Open the Otorisasi Rekening … list for the relevant account type.
  2. Open the pending entry. Review the CIF, office, product, account terms, and linked accounts against the supporting instruction.
  3. Select Terima and confirm acceptance, or Tolak and provide the rejection reason.
  4. Return to the normal account list and verify the resulting record.

A successful save message refers to the submission stage. Confirm the authorization outcome before relying on the account in a transaction. Resolve rejected data through the permitted correction workflow; do not create a duplicate account as a substitute for reviewing the rejection.

Review Balances, Statements, and Deposit History#

For savings, open Simpanan → Rekening Tabungan, open the row's action menu, and select Lihat Detail. Detail Rekening Tabungan shows the account information and provides Dokumen and Statement tabs, Aksi Lainnya, and Edit where your access permits. Inspect the customer, product, status, and balances before acting. Distinguish the recorded balance from the blocked amount; money reserved by a balance block is not freely available for withdrawal.

Dokumen opens first. Use Riwayat Dokumen to review document history and Tambah Dokumen where available to start the account's document assignment. Follow the document-stock procedure in Organization and Administration for assignment and replacement. Use Statement for account movements.

For an account with a Statement tab:

  1. Select Statement.
  2. Enter Dari and Sampai and select Terapkan Filter.
  3. Review the transactions and balances for that period.
  4. Where offered, select Cetak Rekening Koran to obtain the account statement. Check the downloaded period and account before sharing it.

Term-deposit details also provide Daftar Pembayaran Bunga and Daftar Perpanjangan / Pencairan. Open these tabs to inspect interest payments and lifecycle events. Use Unduh on an available record to retrieve its supporting output.

An account statement and a physical passbook or deposit certificate are different documents. For physical issuance or replacement, follow the bank's document-stock procedure in Organization and Administration; a statement download does not allocate or print a numbered document.

Choose the Right Servicing Action#

Start from the account's current status and any Menunggu otorisasi alert. Use the action offered for that state.

Account Condition Next Action
Active savings needs a restriction Use Blokir Rekening for the account, or Blokir Saldo for a specified amount.
Savings is blocked Use Lepas Blokir Rekening when the underlying restriction may be released.
Savings is dormant Request Aktivasi Dormant and wait for authorization.
Savings closure is approved Settle the remaining balance and complete Nonaktifkan Sekarang when the account qualifies.
Active term deposit must end early Request Break Deposito, subject to its block/collateral restrictions and penalty.
Term deposit is in its maturity state Use Proses Pencairan Deposito and complete authorization.
Another status request is pending Review and resolve that request before submitting a competing action.

These servicing actions apply to the account family named in each procedure. Do not assume that the similarly named term-savings account offers every savings or term-deposit action.

Block or Unblock Savings#

Use an account block to change the account's servicing state. Use a balance block to reserve a specified amount. They are separate actions.

  1. Open the savings account and select Aksi Lainnya.
  2. For an active account, select Blokir Rekening. For a blocked account, select Lepas Blokir Rekening.
  3. Enter the required Catatan and submit using the action button.
  4. An authorizer opens Otorisasi Perubahan Status Tabungan, reviews the request, and selects Terima or Tolak.
  5. Reopen the account to confirm the resulting status.

To reserve or release a specific amount:

  1. Select Aksi Lainnya → Blokir Saldo or Lepas Blokir Saldo.
  2. Enter Nominal Saldo and Catatan. The amount must be greater than zero and within the maximum displayed. Blocking is limited by the available balance; release is limited by the currently blocked amount.
  3. Submit the request and complete authorization through Otorisasi Perubahan Status Tabungan.
  4. Verify the blocked and available amounts afterward.

CBS prevents a new status-change request while another request for the account is pending. Review the existing request rather than repeatedly submitting an action.

Reactivate a Dormant Savings Account#

Dormancy is detected by scheduled processing using the account's configured inactivity terms. Dormant fees and low-balance closure processing can subsequently affect the account. There is no universal inactivity period in this guide: use the actual product/account configuration.

  1. Open the dormant account and review the current balance, charges, linked facilities, and any pending request.
  2. Select Aksi Lainnya → Aktivasi Dormant.
  3. Enter Catatan and submit.
  4. Have the request reviewed in Otorisasi Perubahan Status Tabungan.
  5. After Terima, reload the account and confirm that it is active before initiating further transactions.

Do not treat reactivation as a reversal of fees already recorded. Investigate disputed charges separately. If scheduled processing has already closed or inactivated an account, the dormant-reactivation action does not substitute for a new account-opening decision.

Close a Savings Account#

Closure has three operational stages: approve the closing calculation, settle the remaining balance, and deactivate the account.

Before submitting, release an account block through the authorized process and resolve active links that prevent closure. These include active deposit links and use as a loan repayment account. Resolve such dependencies with the relevant servicing team.

  1. Open the active savings account and select Aksi Lainnya → Penutupan Rekening.
  2. Review the closure summary: current balance, capitalized interest, capitalized tax, closing fee, and estimated final balance.
  3. Enter Catatan and select Ajukan Penutupan Rekening.
  4. An authorizer reviews the calculation in Otorisasi Perubahan Status Tabungan and accepts or rejects the request.
  5. After acceptance, check the Eligible Non Aktif state, statement, and actual remaining balance. The accepted calculation processes the applicable interest, tax, and closing-fee entries; it does not by itself establish that all funds have been withdrawn.
  6. Settle the remaining balance through the supported teller withdrawal workflow. Complete any transaction authorization required by the teller limit and verify the resulting balance.
  7. When closure is approved and the remaining and blocked balances have been cleared, return to the account and select Nonaktifkan Sekarang.
  8. Confirm Ya, Nonaktifkan, then verify the inactive status.

If deactivation is rejected because a balance remains, reconcile the account instead of repeating the request. The estimated closing amount can differ from a later live balance if intervening activity occurs; use the actual account record for final settlement.

Manage Term-Deposit Rollover and Destination Instructions#

For eligible active deposits with automatic rollover, the account displays Stop Roll Over during the configured period before maturity. This action is unavailable for an ineligible account, including a deposit still used as loan collateral.

  1. Open the term deposit and review the due date and current rollover instruction.
  2. If offered, select Stop Roll Over and confirm Ya, Stop Roll Over.
  3. Verify the updated instruction. If the customer changes the instruction before maturity and the action remains available, select Batalkan Stop Roll Over and confirm.
  4. At maturity, check the actual lifecycle history, status, and receiving account to confirm what occurred. A changed instruction is not proof that payment has already completed.

To change the linked payout account where the action is available, select Ganti Rekening Terhubung, complete Tujuan Penarikan and the applicable internal or external-bank details, and select Simpan Perubahan. Reopen the account and verify the destination before a payout is due.

Block, Break, or Settle a Term Deposit#

For blocking, open the deposit and use Aksi Lainnya → Blokir Rekening. Enter Catatan and select Ajukan. A blocked deposit offers Lepas Blokir Rekening instead. Review these requests in Otorisasi Perubahan Status Simpanan Berjangka.

For early termination:

  1. Open an eligible active deposit and select Aksi Lainnya → Break Deposito.
  2. Review the proposed Biaya Penalti and complete Catatan. Apply the authorized customer instruction and product terms.
  3. Select Ajukan.
  4. An authorizer reviews and accepts or rejects the request in Otorisasi Perubahan Status Simpanan Berjangka.
  5. Check the resulting status, statement, destination account, and lifecycle history.

For a deposit in the maturity state, use Proses Pencairan Deposito, enter the required note, and submit. Complete its status-change authorization and verify the resulting settlement. A blocked deposit does not offer an executable early-break action; release the block through the approved workflow first. Collateral-related restrictions must be resolved with lending operations.

Early termination and maturity settlement are distinct requests. Use the action offered for the account's actual state rather than forcing maturity behavior through an unrelated teller code.

Maintain an Internal Bank Account (RAB)#

A Rekening Antara Bank (RAB) is an internal account with its own identifier, balance, statement, and COA mapping. It is not a customer CIF account.

  1. Open Simpanan → Rekening Antara Bank (RAB) and use the create action.
  2. Select Kantor and Kantor Kas. Nomor RAB is generated by CBS for a new account.
  3. Enter Nama RAB, select Status RAB and Kode CoA, and add Remarks if needed.
  4. Select Simpan and confirm the submission for authorization.
  5. Complete RAB account authorization, then reopen the accepted record and verify the office, status, and COA mapping before use.

Use RAB accounts through the transaction templates that reference them. A RAB account number and a COA code identify different records; do not interchange them when completing a teller transaction.

Resolve an Account-Servicing Problem#

Situation Next Step
An account or action is missing Check the office context, account family, current status, pending requests, and your permissions.
A balance block or release is rejected Refresh the available/blocked amounts and use the maximum displayed for the selected action.
Closure is blocked by a linked facility Coordinate the linked deposit or loan instruction with its servicing team before resubmitting.
A deposit has matured but no payout appears Inspect the rollover instruction, pending request, lifecycle history, and destination account before entering another payout.
A submitted action returns an error Reopen the account and history to establish what completed; escalate the reference and error if the outcome is unclear.
